老娘真的不年轻了。。。

The realisation struck me real hard as I woke up this morning dead beat,
only to snuggle back under the blankets seeking the euphoria of the concussed state.

Out clubbing wed night:

"We're alrdy tryin so hard, and u all r still so cold. Y r u all so unsociable?"......
That's not gonna score a dance or a no.
That only pisses pple off.

Ms Carol,
being polite used reason on the boys.
"Even if I gave u my no. it wldn't be real. Even if I gave u my real no. I wldn't pick up ur call"

Ms PJ,
just turns her back and gave her no. to another random guy.

Spiteful bitch, I LIKE!!
and it doesn't hurt tt she looks damn good in a green dress!!!!

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Enuf abt the lousy attempts.
They were amusing though :P
Enquiries, pls direct them to the two girls directly.
They'll be glad to fill in the details of the other stories :)

Onto more exciting stuff!!!!!

Just as the clock struck twelve,
and happy cheers of HAPPY HARI HAJI rung out,
the lights came on, and the music stopped.

In the limited span of my clubbing career,
I've never been caught in a raid before.

And just like on TV,
The men in plain clothes busted in!
Fired in the air!
and shouted above the din of noises

"Guys on my left and girls on my right!!Get in line and we'll get this over and done with!!"

The girls,
naturally were frightened out of their wits.
They were super lost,
and if not for their other more experienced friends ard,
they wld've probably been shot in the crossfire and chaos that ensued
as the kids who were on the wrong side of the law dashed for the toilets
and any other forms of escape.

Now, r u falling out of ur seats yet?

I'm just kidding.

A raid isn't as exciting la,
u think HONGKONG meh?
With all the syndicates running the nightspots meh?

There was a raid,
according to the others.
But there was no gun shots and no plain clothes.
At least I didn't see any.
Only the lights came on, music off and loads of waiting time,

which of cos we used for camwhoring :P
*Pics not wit me. My collection's limited to those taken under the flattering lights of the loo*

Road trip Thurs:

Ms Furnie taught me a new phrase yesterday,
inspired by our male companions

"这么笨,谁生的?"

I thought it was rather apt.

You know they say women are petty,
they say women are silly,
they say women are lousy direction givers,
they say women are incorrigible shopping addicts,
they say women are noisy and that three women makes a market.

I beg to differ.

You would agree too if u'd seen how a 25 yr-old shout
"ORD lo!!!"
when a bunch of botak guys in army uniform walked past

You would agree too if u'd heard how a 25 yr-old gave drivin directions to another 25yr-old.
"Keep to the left lane, no, turn left, no, not right lane, I said left, turn left!!!!"
"Left or right!!!!!!!"
and that is,
we've never left the left lane.

You would agree too if u were luxuriating in the front seat of the BMW,
watching the Katong area flash by through ur window and have it suddenly come winding down.
"Off air-con, save petrol"

-_-!!!

You would agree too if u were in the front seat with 4 guys squeezed in the back,
and you could feel a pounding headache comin on as the non-stop vulgarities
and bitchy conversations travelled forward.

Oh did I meantion that 1 is a SIM-UOL undergrad,
1 is an NTU grad, with honors
1 is an NUS grad,
and another,
an NIE undergrad, a future Econs lecturer?

Yup, I did say, non-stop vulgarities and bitchy conversations.

It felt like the longest 5 min of my life,
much longer than the 5 min prior to breaktime of POA lecture.

Onto more exciting stuff!!!!

While we were turning out of the carpark at suntec
(after droppin off the other 3 to pick up their vehicle, thank heavens),
we were waved to stop by an old lady.
Out of curiosity, Bak kwa stopped for her and wound down his window.

She leaned in and spoke in hokkien.
It turned out that she needed a ride out to the main road where she cld flag a cab home.
We obliged.

I'm not kdding ok!!!Unlike the story abt the raid. This one really occured!!

And as usual,
Deer started chattin with her in Hokkien in the backseat.
She said that she came to town to look for her fren.
And it has been so long, her fren is no longer here.
Not only is her fren no longer workin here,
the whole place has changed so much so that it's so confusing now.

We stopped at the taxi stand at the explanade,
intending for her to hail a cab from there.
Instead of alighting,
she counter proposed for us to take her home for $20,
saying that it's very hard for her to get a cab.

There were 3 empty cabs waiting at the taxi stand.

We didn't send her home,
and bak kwa had deer check the back seat after she got out.

She seemed like such a poor old woman,
and I was a little taken aback that the guys needed to search the car after she got out.
I mean, what?
You expect her to leave a bomb in ur car?
They said better safe than sorry.

It does make me wonder at our Singapore culture.
I wonder how long she stood at the exit of the carpark waiting for someone to give her a lift out.
I wonder how many ppl turned her down because "better safe than sorry"
I wonder how many ppl saw her wanderin helplessly and denied her assistance such that she ended up at the carpark basement.
And I wonder how her kids cld just let her out like that and not worry that she wld've gotten lost.

And I wonder if Singapore is such a fine city afterall.

Human beings are progressing as a race,
but is humanity?

Maybe in this race for moving forward,
we have left some behind.
And maybe in the minds of some,
it's inevitable,
cos it's every man for his own,
only the fittest survive.

Doesn't this strike u as a vicious cycle?

ANYWAY!!!!!!!!

It's been a long long time since I had such a packed schedule,
the 嘛辣 steamboat that is neither numbing nor spicy,
its after-exercise,
and the adventurous "road trip"
and I haven't even shared abt how funnily outrageous my mum is.

I really wasn't kidding when I said I'm gettin old.
I dun think I can keep up my midnight movie date later on.

Call me Ms PANG SEH KIA

*off running~
