On Valentine's Day he asked me if I was goin on a hot date,
I told him yeah, a sizzling one....
as if that wasn't enuf, I had to expound on my theory....

V.Day is supposed to be a special day,
only deserving to be spent with pple u truly love.

I've spent it with my sistas for the past....
as long as I can remember....

and I intend to keep doing that,
at least until either me, or they
found someone special enuf to spend the day with.

I date,
(and contrary to popular beliefs,
there is nothin wrong with my sexual orientation, thank u very much--->read this! zee!!!!)
I just don't date on V.Day

I mean, since I've no intention to give someone a free round in the skating ring,
why wld I subject myself to the tension and unspoken pressures that comes from dating on
the day??

I seriously wished I cld take back the words tt I told him...
Since I stupidly, effectively killed the chance of him askin me out.
and I blew away the minutest chance of him ever hitting on me again -_-!!

I can be such an idiot sometimes!!!!

apparently!!!

Anyway!!!!!!
2007's supposed to be a quiet yr for the tiger in the love dept,
and a freaking good yr for career....doesn't seem the way at *hub....

Hmmm.....this might be a sign tt I shd seriously ponder abt the soup business....
(that's another story tt I'll share someday)

chinese new yr came and went,
the usual visiting,
the usual questions that I'll fend away with a smile,
the usual faces, just marked by another yr, bigger belly maybe?

Sometimes,
I wonder if I'll still see some of those faces next yr.

And as usual,
the necessary polite small talk,
and feigned concern among pple who do not give a damn abt one another
for the rest of the yr.

Am I being cynical?
I'm just seeing things thru the eyes of a 20 yr-old I guess.

Oh well,
as long as I get my ang pows,
as long as I get the chance to meet up with pple who genuinely cares,

Happy Chinese New Yr.

And yeah,
this also means tt my mini reprieve is over...
