Once again,
people from all walks of life came gathered in a stuffy, oily fast-food joint.
(I heard that said fast-food outlet switched off the air-con to cut expenditure!)

Even dear ewe made a cameo appearance last night!!!

It was dear Portugal's match,

How can mu miss her Cristiano?
How can I miss my Figo?
And how can Zee miss a match tt is finally not a THRASHING one?

"Wahlao!!Pauleta is sleeping, man!!!What is he doing!!!?"
Screamed an agitated mu when he missed yet another opportunity.

I was worried for her.

At the rate that Pauleta was going,
I was really afraid that she'd rip out all her hair and throw milo at the TV set.

I'm willing to bet that the both of us were sharing the same mutinous expresison
as we scowled at the TV screen,
when one after another of our precious egg tarts kena tripped,
elbowed,
kicked,
shoved,
DISFIGURED (I almost cried when the idot's foot grazed Figo's face),
and even received cards from the referee,
whom we've affectionately termed as "the stupid referee"

He was previously referred to as "quite cute" by urs truly,
which sparked off Zee's favourite phrase

"Where is ur QC!!!Ping, can u do sth abt ur BBM?"

One can never mistake me for a soccer fan.

I don't watch soccer,
I don't read soccer,
I don't know what an "off-side" is
(at least not until a fren was kind enuf to ring me up to patiently explain)
and I'm generally bored silly when pple start talking soccer.

But World Cup and Euro saw me joining the ranks of uncle uncle in shouting,
and shouting so loudly and genuinely that it was as if,
I quote

"in the wish that someone in Germany could hear our "referee ka--you"!!!"

*laughs out loud*

Somehow,
when it's a country against another,
things take on a different light.

Afterall,
it's a nation's pride we are talking about here, u noe?

What amazes me is how such an event brings people together.
I've never realised it b4 cos well,
I've never watched such events in a public place with so many pple b4.

The kind of feeling is indescribable.

A few days ago,
while I was gritting my nails,
an uncle uncle leaned towards me, smiled
and said reassuringly, "Spain will not let them take even a goal, relax"

although yeah,
his behaviour might be due to the fact that I was bursting his eardrums.

And just last night,
another uncle uncle poked his head in
as we pored over TODAY's analysis,
and gave us his two cents worth.

Have I even mentioned the exuberance of the place when a goal was scored,
or missed?

The whole place seemed as if it shook,
when everyone simultaneously threw up their hands and shout "GOAL!!!!"

*smiles in remembrance*

and then groans in unison as someone in the crowd shouts "Off-side lah!!!"

And of cos, in every situation,
there are always one or two exceptions who just slept thru the match.

And I do mean, slept thru the match, literally.

Last night,
the three of us were sorely tempted to toss tissues at these two uncle uncle
who were dozing off even in the 1st minute of the Czech Ghana's match.

A bunch of uncles were even more brillient.

They surrounded one of the men and shouted "GOAL!!!!" for no apparent reason.

*falls off chair laughing*

It was damn funny!!!N the guy didn't even move an inch!!

I'm really leading a decadent life.
A satisfying lunch (pi-gu man too!!), followed by
Ktv-ing in the afternoon,
then watching sexy men at night.

*burst out laughing*

Woo!!!

Wat more can a girl ask for?

Oh yeah,
I guess a girl can always ask for Spain and Portugal in the finals :)
